The Toronto Maple Leafs signed forward Brandon Kozun to a one-year contract on Friday. The deal was announced by general manager David Nonis. The Maple Leafs acquired the 24-year-old from the Los Angeles Kings on Jan. 22, 2014 in exchange for Andrew Crezcenzi. Kozun scored 17 goals and added 29 assists for 46 points over 75 games in the American Hockey League in 2013-2014. Kozun has 86 goals and 110 assists for 196 points in 296 career AHL games. He has yet to play in the NHL. The Los Angeles native was selected by the Kings in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Nike Free Noir Et Rose . Seventh-seeded Marion Bartoli of France also cruised into the second round of the indoor clay tournament, beating qualifier Iveta Benesova of Czech Republic 6-3, 6-2. Nike Free Flyknit Chukka Noir . According to the Washington Post, the Washington Capitals placed Green on the long-term injured list on Thursday meaning he wont be back in the lineup before February 1st. http://www.freeflyknit-fr.com/nike-free-run-outlet/nike-free-run-2.html . -- Adam Pelech scored with three seconds left in regulation to lift the Erie Otters past the Owen Sound Attack 3-2 in Wednesdays lone Ontario Hockey League game. Nike Free 4.0 Flyknit Pas Cher . Zdeno Chara and Jarome Iginla scored for Boston. The Bruins took over the top spot in the Eastern Conference with 93 points, one more than Pittsburgh. Nike Roshe Run Flyknit Blanche . The team of Lars Nelson, Daniel Richardsson, Johan Olsson, and anchor Marcus Hellner cruised to victory in the 4x10 km event, winning in a time of one hour, 28 minutes, and 42.COLUMBUS, Ohio -- By the end, a crowd of 16,008 was chanting his nickname. Sergei Bobrovsky made 36 saves and Cam Atkinson had a goal and an assist to lead the Columbus Blue Jackets past Carolina 3-0 on Friday night, ending the Hurricanes season-best five-game winning streak. "Bob was the Bob weve grown to love," teammate Brandon Dubinsky said. Boone Jenner and Dubinsky also scored for the Blue Jackets, who have won three of four. And Nathan Horton contributed in his first home game in a Columbus uniform. But make no mistake about it: Bobrovsky stole the show. "He was in his game today," said Carolinas Justin Faulk. "Hes obviously a good goalie. Hes proven himself in this league." Horton, a big-money free-agent signing last season who missed the first 40 games after shoulder surgery, raved about Bobrovsky. "He showed why hes one of the best goalies in the game," Horton said. "Its great for us to have him." Bobrovsky, who picked up his second shutout of the season, was making his first home start in more than a month. He missed 14 games with a strained groin before winning at Madison Square Garden against the Rangers on Monday night, 4-3 in a shootout. He said the key was concentrating. "To be honest, I almost dont remember my saves tonight," he said. "I make one, then I try to be focused on the next." Last years Vezina Trophy winner as the NHLs top goalie was in fine form. He stopped Elias Lindholm twice on jam shots at the corner post during more than a minute of a 5-on-3 for Carolina in the third period. While the Hurricanes were pressing on the remaining power play, he gloved a hard shot from the high slot by Zach Boychuk -- and held his glove high in the air for several seconds while the crowd roared. The crowd chanted, "Bob! Bob!" throughout the final few minutes. "Our goalie energized the building in the third period with some of his saves," Columbus coach Todd Richards said. "That is a little reminiscent of last season." Bobrovsky, acquired in a trade with Philadelphia 18 months ago, went 21-11-6 while leading a late-season charge last spring that brought the Blue Jackets within a tiiebreaker of making the playoffs.dddddddddddd "When hes playing like that, it gives us a chance to win every single night," Atkinson said. The Blue Jackets moved to 20-20-4 with the win. Carolinas Anton Khudobin had been the hottest goalie in the league. He came in with a record of 6-0-0 with a 1.84 goals-against average and a .943 save percentage. He had allowed two or fewer goals in six of his seven games -- then gave up two in the first period. The Hurricanes Brett Sutter gathered a loose puck in the corner but Horton hit him and forced a turnover to Jenner. The rookie was all alone in the slot and went high on the stick side of Khudobin for his sixth goal of the year at the 15-minute mark. Just 70 seconds later, the Blue Jackets struck again. This time Atkinson carried the puck through the neutral zone and then slid a pass to Dubinsky on the left wing. His rising shot from the left dot beat Khudobin inside the far post. It was Dubinskys ninth of the year. Atkinson had also saved a goal when he got a stick on Jeff Skinners wraparound midway through the first 20 minutes. He then picked up a goal of his own at 5:54 of the third when he took a feed from Mark Letestu and found the net from the left hash for his 12th goal. The Hurricanes had piled up a season-high in goals while beating Toronto 6-1 on Thursday night at home. But Bobrovsky stifled everything that came at him, capping the shutout with a sprawling glove save on Nathan Gerbe with just over 2 minutes left. "We had one or two breakdowns and they capitalized and scored goals," Carolina coach Kirk Muller said. "Theyre a good team. They play a good system and they dont give up much." NOTES: Columbus C Derek MacKenzie was sitting out the final game of a three-game suspension for boarding Phoenixs Oliver Ekman-Larsson. ... It was the second of five meetings this season, with the Blue Jackets winning on Dec. 23 in Raleigh, 4-3. ... The Blue Jackets improved to 9-6-0 against Carolina, including 5-2-0 at home. ... The teams have never gone to overtime in their 15 games. ... Former Stanley Cup-winning goalie Cam Ward missed his fifth straight game for the Hurricanes with a lower-body injury. KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs will have dangerous punt returner Dexter McCluster back from injury when they play the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. McCluster missed last weeks win at Oakland after developing an infection in his ankle. Chiefs coach Andy Reid also said Friday that linebacker Justin Houston and left tackle Branden Albert could be ready for the Colts. Houston has missed three games after dislocating his elbow against San Diego on Nov. 24, while Albert has missed two games after hyperextended his knee. Reid also said that tight end Anthony Fasano, whos been out with a concussion, has been cleared to play against Indianapolis. Hes also missed the last two games. The Chiefs are tied with the Broncos atop the AFC West, while the Colts have already clinched the AFC South. Their game Sunday could be a preview of a first-round playoff matchup. Adidas Superstar 2 Black Womens .com) - The 20th-ranked Baylor Bears go in search of their third straight victory, as they challenge the Oklahoma State Cowboys at Gallagher-Iba Arena on Tuesday night. Adidas Superstar Sneakers Sale . CSNPhilly.com reports that the 26-year-old wide receiver will sign a four-year deal with the team on Thursday. After they returned to the playoffs last season, the Toronto Maple Leafs are team ripe for regression due to inflated percentages that typically dont carry over from one year to the next. As such, the appeal of some Leafs is likely lower than expected. Top Picks: In the last two seasons, RW Phil Kessel has 134 points, ranking fifth, and over the last five seasons his 155 goals ranks ninth. Even with plus-minus issues (minus-47 over the last four seasons), hes worth a spot among the top handful of fantasy right wingers. D Dion Phaneuf, the Leafs captain, has plenty of critics, but hes productive. In the last three years, hes one of three defencemen to have at least 100 points and 200 penalty minutes (Zdeno Chara and P.K. Subban are the others). If not PIMs, Phaneuf is also a hitter, with 725 over the last four seasons. There are constant questions about whether Phaneuf is worthy of being designated as a number one defenceman for the Maple Leafs, but his numbers indicate hes just fine as a No. 1 defenceman for fantasy owners. Value Plays: The popular notion, when it comes to C Nazem Kadri, is that hes a young player who scored 44 points in 48 games last season, so he should be on the rise, but its not quite as simple as that. For one thing, Kadri scored on 16.8% of his shots last season, an inordinately high percentage and, more importantly, those on the ice with him at even-strength scored on 14.44% of their shots, the highest rate for any forward in the league. Its also a clear indication that regression ought to be coming and even if Kadri plays more than the 16 minutes per game he played last season, the odds are in favour of the regression having stronger effect. This doesnt mean Kadri is a bad player; it means hes not necessarily a point-per-game player yet. While were beating that regression drum, LW Joffrey Lupul has 85 points in 82 games over the last two seasons, scoring on 15.5% of his shots, which is well above his career mark of 11.5%. As an example of what kind of effect that would have, knocking Lupuls shooting percentage down from 15.5% to 11.5% over the last two seasons, it would give him 28 goals instead of 36. We can also see that, even in his small sample of 17 games last season, Lupul had an absurdly high on-ice shooting percentage that is bound to come down. With regression and injuries both factors in his projection, Lupul likely comes in lower than expected in my projections. LW James van Riemsdyk had a nice first season in Toronto, his 0.67 points per game representing a career-high, while playing 19:122 per game, four minutes more than he had played the year before in Philadelphia.ddddddddddddIts reasonable to expect further development from van Riemsdyk, whose career highs to this point are 21 goals and 40 points. The signing of RW David Clarkson came with much fanfare, and much concern regarding the length of his contract, but in the last two seasons, only Clarkson and Scott Hartnell have scored at least 40 goals while recording at least 200 penalty minutes. His limited scoring upside makes Clarkson a No. 4 fantasy winger, though he would move up a notch in leagues that include penalty minutes. Still trying to negotiate a new contract, restricted free agent D Cody Franson had a breakthrough season for the Leafs in 2013, tying a career-high with 29 points, even though he played in only 45 games. If hes healthy and signed, Franson has a chance to be a No. 3 fantasy defenceman, but until he signs, its tough to place too much stock in his production. Centering Phil Kessel is a factor that makes C Tyler Bozak worth keeping an eye on, but he hasnt been productive enough to have fantasy value in most leagues. He was one of six forward to play more than 900 minutes last season and finish with fewer than 30 points. Sleepers/Breakthrough: Stuck in the minors or the press box too often last season, D Jake Gardiner is a tremendous skater who should play a top-four role. He had 30 points in 75 games as a rookie in 2011-2012 and should be able to get back to that level provided he stays healthy. By going out to acquire G Jonathan Bernier, and then signing him to a new contract that isnt for backup money, the Maple Leafs have indicated their intention coming into the season. While there are many reports from those that think Bernier is due the opportunity to be a starting goalie in the league, he has a .912 save percentage in 62 career games, which only seems okay. If you really want to dig deep, check out D Paul Ranger, making his return to the NHL for the first time since October, 2009. Ranger scored a career-high 31 points, while playing a career-high 25:13, in 2007-2008 Rookies: He may end up back in junior for another season, but 19-year-old Morgan Rielly could put pressure on the Leafs to make a decision. When he reaches the league for keeps, hes going to produce points, but even if Rielly does manage to stay in the NHL as a teen. SEATTLE -- Miles Mikolas allowed three hits in eight scoreless innings, J.P. Arencibia singled home the go-ahead run in the fourth and the Texas Rangers opened a three-game set against the Seattle Mariners with a 2-0 win on Monday night. Mikolas faced two batters over the minimum, erasing two of the three hits he allowed with double plays. The right-hander struck out five and walked one. It is the first time Mikolas has not allowed a run in 10 career starts. Neftali Feliz pitched the ninth for his seventh save in eight attempts. Seattle starter Roenis Elias struggled with command, walking four, but was able to limit the Rangers to one run in five innings. The rookie stranded runners in scoring position in three innings before giving way to the bullpen after tossing 101 pitches. Rougned Odor padded the lead with an RBI groundout in the seventh, scoring Leonys Martin from third. The Rangers best opportunity to break the game open came in the fourth, but Adam Rosales flew out to end the threat with the bases loaded. Texas left five men in scoring position. TRAINERS ROOM Mariners: 2B Robinson Cano was in the lineup and batting third on Monday, a day after removing himself from the field due to the effects of an illness. CHICAGO -- Reliever Mitchell Boggs and the Chicago White Sox have agreed to a $1.1 million, one-year contract. A 29-year-old right-hander, Boggs helped St. Louis win the 2011 World Series title and was 4-1 with a 2.21 ERA in 78 relief appearances for the Cardinals in 2012. He took over as the closer at the start of last season after Jason Motte got hurt, walked 15 in 14 2-3 innings as he converted two of five save chances. Boggs was traded to Colorado in early July and bounced between the majors and three minor league teams. He wound up with an 0-3 record and 8.10 ERA in 27 appearances for St. Louis and Colorado. He joins a new-look White Sox bullpen that includes Ronald Belisario and Scott Downs. Closer Addison Reed was traded to Arizona in December. To make room on the 40-man roster, Chicago sent right-hander Deunte Heath outright to Triple-A Charlotte. Heath will be a non-roster invitee to spring training. Nike Roshe Run Scontate Uomo . The Pelicans had seven players in double figures and stayed in the game despite foul trouble all night for big man Anthony Davis. Subban has started off his season strong, ranking sixth in the NHL in assists with 20 and 23rd in points with 24. Yet the question remains, should Subban be on Canadas Olympic roster? Subbans skill-set as an offensive defenceman limits his competition for a position on the team, but it also restricts his chances. Nike Roshe Run Floral Italia . Myers had an inside-the-park homer, his latest big blow against the New York Yankees, and drove in four runs as the Tampa Bay Rays battered an ineffective CC Sabathia in a 5-1 victory Sunday. Nike Roshe Run Floral Shop . PETERSBURG, Fla.MINNEAPOLIS -- The Kansas City Royals are hoping to make another push for a playoff spot, and their latest successful series at Target Field is definitely going to help. Bruce Chen bounced back with a solid start and the Royals earned their fifth consecutive win with a 3-1 victory over Minnesota, sending the slumping Twins to their fifth straight loss. "This was a nice series for us," Kansas City manager Ned Yost said. "We did everything really well, we pitched well, swung the bats well, played solid defence." The Royals outscored Minnesota 17-3 in the three-game set to finish the season series with a 15-4 record against their AL Central rival. Kansas City has won seven straight at Target Field. "Theyve probably had our number in the past, so its tough to say anything bad about them," said second baseman Chris Getz, who had one of Kansas Citys three RBI singles. Coupled with Oaklands 7-6 loss in Detroit, the Royals are six games back of the As for the ALs second wild-card slot. "I couldnt even tell you whos ahead of us," Yost said. "My focus is if we win everything else takes care of itself." Getting Chen back on track certainly helps. Chen (6-2), who is good at deception and changing speeds, gave up one run and five hits in 5 2-3 innings. In his past two starts, he allowed 13 runs in nine innings. Before those two, he had allowed just three earned runs in 38 2-3 innings over six starts. "I went back and tried to be more aggressive," Chen said. "I wanted to make sure I pound the strike zone." Kelvin Herrera and Will Smith combined for 2 1-3 innings of scoreless relief. Greg Holland pitched a scoreless ninth for his 36th save in 38 chances. "It was a total team effort," Chen said. "We won collectively." The Twins hit just 15 for 91 (.165) in the series. Brian Dozier homered for Minnesota, which has totalled just six runs during its skid. Minnesota is one game ahead of last-place Chicago in the division. "Its a tough time of the year," said bench coach Terry Steinbach, who filled in when manager Ron Gardenhire was ejected in the second inning. "They dont call it the Dog Days of August for nothing, and whether youre in first place or last place or somewhere in the middle, as players and as orgganizations and teams youve got to figure out a way to get through this stuff.dddddddddddd" Justin Maxwell was hit by a pitch -- the ninth batter plunked this season by Twins starter Samuel Deduno -- and both benches were warned by plate umpire Alan Porter. Gardenhire came out to protest and was tossed for the fourth time this year. Maxwell was hit by a pitch in Wednesday night. Salvador Perez homered twice in that game for the Royals and had a fastball come in high and tight. "I dont think they were trying to hit me on purpose," Maxwell said. "Im just glad it helped lead to a big inning." Getz, Alcides Escobar and Alex Gordon singled home runs in the second. Deduno (8-8) allowed three runs in three innings before leaving because of soreness in his right shoulder. An MRI is scheduled for Friday. He said he felt a little pain when trying to throw his fastball hard. "I wanted to be aggressive. Thats when I felt it," he said. "I wanted to keep pitching, but they told me they want to see whats wrong with my shoulder." Deduno had been bothered by biceps tendinitis in his throwing arm earlier this month but told the team he was feeling fine. Dozier homered in the sixth to make it 3-1. His 14th homer tied him with Tim Teufel (1984) for most homers in a season by a Minnesota second baseman. Already playing short-handed because outfielder Oswaldo Arcia was unavailable with a sore wrist, Minnesota lost right fielder Wilkin Ramirez in the fifth inning after he fouled a ball off his left shin. He was scheduled for an MRI later Thursday. NOTES: Minnesota C Joe Mauer, out since Aug. 20 with a concussion, said before the game he is "feeling better," but is not close to returning. "Its not any fun watching, so hopefully I can get back there soon," he said. ... Perez, who was 11 for 22 with four homers and 13 RBIs in his previous five games, did not start. He singled as a pinch hitter in the ninth. ... Ervin Santana (8-7, 3.21 ERA) starts for Kansas City on Friday when the Royals open a three-game series in Toronto. Mark Buehrle (10-7, 4.08 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Blue Jays. ... Minnesota opens a weekend series at Texas on Friday with Liam Hendriks (0-2, 6.20 ERA) scheduled to face the Rangers Yu Darvish (12-5, 2.68 ERA). ST. LOUIS -- David Ross never expected to be on a World Series podium. That seat is for stars, not for grey-bearded baseball journeyman, not for backup catchers knocked onto the disabled list for much of the summer by foul tips. "The trip Ive taken this year, I never thought Id be here, There were times I was questioning whether my career was over," he said Monday night with a smile that brightened the interview room. "Im playing in the World Series, so just this whole skit is just -- Im up here talking to you guys, this is pretty cool, right?" The very definition of a bench player -- a backup catcher who has never gotten more than 311 at-bats in a season -- Ross got the biggest hit of the year thus far for the Boston Red Sox, nearly completing his long-and-winding trek to a World Series title. Ross pulled a hanging curveball down the left-field line that landed just a few inches fair in the seventh inning, driving in the go-ahead run and boosting the Red Sox over the St. Louis Cardinals 3-1 for a 3-2 World Series lead. Now 36, Rosss sandy-colored beard makes him look more aging rocker than dashing athlete. A veteran of six major league organizations, he signed last November for his second tour with the Red Sox, his team for part of 2008. His season began to come apart on May 11, when he took a pair of foul tips off his mask against Toronto. He went on the DL for two weeks and went into a 3-for-22 slide when he returned. Then he got whacked in the mask by another foul at Baltimore on June 14. "I got home and my wife said, Youre not right," he recalled. "And they did some tests and kind of concluded I wasnt right. Then I tried to come back fast, not giving enough credit to really what a concussion is. As athletes we feel like we can get through anything, and I couldnt. I stunk for a good two weeks, three weeks, and my wife finally was like, If you dont tell the doctors, Im going to." The Red Sox sent him to Pittsburgh to be examined on June 20 by Dr. Mickey Collins, a concussion specialist. Ross didnt play for Boston again until Aug. 20. "We try to do mind over matter sometimes, and the hardest part when youre going through something like that is just you dont have a cast on or you didnt have surgery," Ross said. "I looked fine, but I wasnt right. Its hard to look your teammates in the eye when youre going through something like that and see if youre bowing out or not, with the questions that they have. Because I used to do the same thing. Concussion, just push through it. Youre not tough enough or something like that." But now he knew what it was like. "Headaches and dizziness and all the symptoms, couldnt ride in a car, couldnt be in crowded places," he said, "but did all the exercises Mickey put me through and slowly came back. And thank goodness my hitting has come around, because I stunk there for a while." With Jarrod Saltalamacchia in a 6-for-32 (.188) post-season slump, Ross got the opportunity of his 12-year major league career. Hes caught Jon Lesters last four post-season starts, impressing Red Sox manager John Farrell with their rapport. "Were all excited for him, and were glad hes doing it and hope he keeps on doing it," first baseman Mike Napoli said. Lester credited Ross for his dazzling performance. "Did a good job of keeping me calm, keeping me in the game," he said. Ross was 1 for 9 in the Series before his fifth-inning single. He stepped to the plate in the seventh against Adam Wainwright following a single by rookie Xander Bogaerts and a walk by Stephen Drew, took a called strike, watched a ball and then fouled off a pitch. When Wainwright left a 79-mph hanger up, Ross pounced. If the ball hadnt bounced into the stands, Drew would have scored, too, but he came around on Jacoby Ellsburys single as Ross was thrown out at the plate by centre fielder Shane Robinson. Ross had never seen himself as a Series star. "Im kind of more of a keep-my-head-down-and-work-hard kind of guy," he said, "Im not the type of player who can plan out all these goals. Thats probably why it hadnt sunk in yet of what all this is, because Im worried about Game 6 already. Theres a pit in my stomach already." After it was over, already showered and dressed for the flight home, he was given a televised postgame news conference. He called it "the signature moment" of his career. "Im just in awe of being in the World Series, really," he said, turning around to look at the MLB logos on the backdrop behind him, as if he wasnt quite sure they were real. "Thats when you see people on TV," he said excitedly. "Im stoked!" Ross has answered questions for 14 minutes, yet he still didnt want to leave the room. "Jon Lester is waiting to come in," announced Phyllis Merhige, an MLB senior vice-president. "You can stay as long as you like." "Can I sit up here while hes up here?" Ross asked. And so he did, sitting alongside Lester and David Ortiz, savoring the night of his career just a little bit longer. #11 Belgium Zakaria Bakkali Youth Jersey - Authentic Red Home Short Shirt 2016 UEFA European Football Championship Soccer Adidas . FRANKFURT, Germany -- Hoffenheim scored three goals in quick succession late in the first half to beat Wolfsburg 6-2 in the Bundesliga on Sunday and dent its hopes of qualifying for the Champions League. In the late match, Alexander Meier scored in the 89th minute to give Eintracht Frankfurt a 2-1 comeback victory over Stuttgart, which fell to its eighth consecutive defeat and is now one place above the danger zone. Hoffenheim is the third highest scoring team in the Bundesliga after Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund and it took only four minutes for Roberto Firmino to put the host side ahead with a perfectly weighted lob. Bas Dost equalized for Wolfsburg in the 15th with a header. Niklas Suele began the three-goal flurry with a header in the 37th. Anthony Modeste then scored twice, with a low shot in the 39th and a header in the 43rd. Ivan Perisic pulled one back for Wolfsburg, before the home side struck twice more. Sejad Salihovic converted a penalty and Sven Schipplock completed the win. Wolfsburg finished with 10 men, after Christian Traesch was sent off in the 80th for a foul on Kevin Vollland that resulted in the penalty.dddddddddddd Hoffenheim, undefeated in five games, ended Wolfsburgs run of four consecutive wins and prevented the visiting team from overtaking fourth-place Schalke. Wolfsburg remained fifth and Hoffenheim 10th. In Frankfurt, Stuttgart went ahead in the 31st minute after Eintracht lost possession in midfield. Alexandru Maxim found Martin Harnik on the left and the midfielder slotted low inside the near post. Stuttgarts goalkeeper Sven Ulreich went on to make several outstanding saves, including a one-handed tip-away from a header by Stefan Aigner. But it was his kick-in that resulted in Frankfurts equalizer in the 80th through substitute striker Jan Rosenthal. Marco Russ headed the ball from the centre circle back into Stuttgarts half and Rosenthal raced through to slot past Ulreich. Eintracht secured the win in the 89th when Johannes Flum slipped the ball through the legs of Georg Niedermeier and squared it back for Meier, who drove it home with a low shot. Eintracht jumped to 12th place and is six points away from the relegation playoff place. With less than a week until the NHL Trade Deadline, check out the latest trade-related reports and speculation from around the NHL beat. And follow TSN.ca right through Deadline Day for all the updates. Is that Your Final Answer? The Pittsburgh Penguins are reportedly ponying up in their efforts to lure Ryan Kesler out of Vancouver. Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported a proposed deal between the Pens and Canucks that he credited to multiple sources. “A proposed deal would send Kesler to the Penguins in exchange for Brandon Sutter, two 2014 draft picks — likely a first- and third-round — and the Canucks choice of defensemen Simon Despres or Brian Dumoulin,” Rossi wrote on Saturday. Rossi continued to say that it is possible the deal could involve another player going in either direction, but that Penguins GM Ray Shero was only looking to acquire Kesler. Goalies Gone Wild The Minnesota Wild are apparently very much in the market for an upgrade between the pipes. According to Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Wild GM Chuck Fletcher is after a netminder and was even in on discussions for former Buffalo keeper Ryan Miller before getting priced out. So, who fits the bill for Minnys playoff push? Russo drops a lengthy list that spans from new Sabres acquisition Jarsolav Halak to established number ones like Martin Brodeur and Cam Ward to enigmatic Oilers netminder Ilya Bryzgalov. Snowfall Warning? Could this be Paul Stastnys last week as a member of the Colorado Avalanche? The Denver Posts Adrian Dater writes that if the Avs are unable to get the 28-year-old re-upped before the deadline, they could deal him rather than risk losing him for nothing over the summer as an unrestricted free agent. "You want to keep winning and dont want to break that chemistry, but at the same time if something happens, it happens. Its just part of the business. Some things I cant control and I just worry about what I can control — and thats playing hockey," Stastny told the Post. Dater believes the Avs could probably expect a young defenseman in return and one that might still have time left on an existing deal or, if not, a pending restricted free agent. Call Me, Maybe? Jaromir Jagr is an intriguing name to watch prior to Wednesday. The 42-year-old just became the NHLs seventh 700-goal scorer and – as a pending unrestricted free agent – could be an attractive veteran addition for many teams as they push towards the post-season. But the iconic Czech winger cautions that any team looking for his services should probably run it by him first. “The situation with me is I think if any team would try to trade for me they would probably ask me first if I wanted to go there,” Jagr told the Star-Ledger after the New Jersey Devils Saturday win over the New York Islanders. “I dont have a contract (for next season) and Im 42 years old. What if I decided to go home? Nobody is going to give any draft picks or players for me if they dont know. “Same thing happened when I went to Boston (from Dallas last season). They called before. So Im probably going to know whats going on before.” John Brooks USA Jersey . 11 Ana Ivanovic and American Sloane Stephens, and former world No. Graham Zusi USA Jersey . -- Michael Brantley gets to head home celebrating a game-winning hit instead of dwelling on a rare error. http://www.soccerusashoponline.com/12-Usa-Brad-Guzan-Mens-Jersey-Replica-Black-Away-Short-Shirt-2016-Copa-America-Soccer-Nike-71.html .com) - Mikko Korhonen carded a 5-under 67 on Thursday to claim medalist honors at the European Tours Final Qualifying Stage tournament. Brad Davis USA Jersey . - No matter the lineup or location, the San Antonio Spurs are rolling through the NBA again this spring, just the way they have for most of the last two decades. Kyle Beckerman Jersey . Maybe it was because hes not comfortable facing a room of reporters, but more likely its because hes all business when it comes to turning around the floundering CFL club. And that wont be an easy task.MIAMI -- Giancarlo Stanton wasnt happy with his fielding error in the seventh inning, which helped the Texas Rangers tie the game. Stanton wanted to make up for his blunder in right field, but walked the next two at-bats before hitting an RBI single on a 1-2 count with with two outs in the 10th inning and the Miami Marlins beat the Texas Rangers 4-3 Tuesday night for their third straight win. "I didnt like the sliders that were called so I was already fired up about that, I knew that we were in extra innings because of me so I was already fired up about that, so when I saw (Neftali Feliz) dragging in I was just like, You put us in this situation, just make sure youre calm and collected and get us out," Stanton said. Miami (63-62) surpassed last years total of 62. The Marlins moved over .500 for the first time since June 20. Jeff Baker reached with one out in the 10th on first baseman Mike Carps error. Donovan Solanos infield single with two outs moved Baker to second. Neftali Feliz relieved Neal Cotts (2-7) to face Stanton, who singled to right field. "We had the right guy there and he had a heck of an at-bat and hit a bullet to right," Marlins manager Mike Redmond said. Sam Dyson (2-0) struck out the side in the 10th. Marcell Ozuna hit his 17th home run and Christian Yelich had three hits for the Marlins. The Rangers scored twice in the seventh to tie it at 3. Rougned Odor opened with a double off the right-field wall and when Stanton misplayed it for an error, Odor circled the bases. Mike Dunn later walked pinch-hitter Daniel Robertson with the bases loaded. Texas threatened in the ninth with Elvis Andrus on third base and one out, but he got caught off the bag when Robertson pulled back on a potential squeeze bunt. "The pitch had nothing to do with it," Robertson said. "The manager makes the call--calls a squeeze--youve got to get it down. If you have to dive, dive. If you have to jump, jump. Youve got to get it down." The Rangers were 1 for 10 with runners in scoring position. "Thats what we definitely have to get better on, driving in runs when theyre out there," Rangers manager Ron Washington said. "We put ourseelves in position but we just dont cash them in.dddddddddddd" Marlins starter Jarred Cosart allowed one run and six hits in six innings. Texas starter Miles Mikolas pitched five innings, allowing three runs and eight hits. He struck out six. Robinson Chirinos RBI groundout gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead in the fourth. Ozunas home run tied it in the bottom half. The Marlins took a 3-1 lead in the sixth on an RBI single by Jarrod Saltalamacchia and a sacrifice fly by Adeiny Hechavarria. TRAINERS ROOM Rangers: Washington was hopeful that RHP Yu Darvish (right shoulder inflammation) would be able to return from the disabled list on Aug. 25, but that appears unlikely as Darvish has not picked up a baseball yet. "Im backing off," Washington said. "I dont know whats going to happen. I guess well just have to wait and see." ... RF Alex Rios was scratched from the starting lineup with a bruised right thumb, but came into the game in the ninth inning. Marlins: LHP Dan Jennings (concussion) threw one scoreless inning in his first rehab assignment with Gulf Coast League Marlins on Tuesday. "Everything went good so I think the plan for him is to throw a couple innings in his next outing in the next couple of days," Redmond said. UP NEXT Miami native Nick Martinez (2-9, 5.27) will start for the Rangers on Wednesday afternoon against Marlins RHP Nathan Eovaldi (6-7, 3.96). BROKEN BAT The Marlins Casey McGehee broke his bat over his right knee after striking out in the bottom of the eighth with two runners left on base. "I wish I wouldnt have done it," McGehee said. "I was just frustrated. Obviously it was a big spot in the game. I just really wasnt happy with the at-bat I put out there. At the end of the day Ive got to be a little bit more grown-up than that." RETURN TO FLORIDA Mikolas, who grew up in nearby Jupiter and played at Nova Southeastern University, had a number of friends and family members in attendance. "It was great, friends and family came out," Mikolas said. "All my coaches and teammates from back at Nova came, my high school coach, my high school teammates. It was fun to know that they were out there. Cheap China Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China China NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China ' ' '

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Nobody wants Game 2 of the Stanley Cup final to come quicker than Dan Girardi. The Rangers defenceman was victimized by a bouncing puck that led to the Kings overtime goal in Game 1 on Wednesday. After the Kings flubbed a three-on-two, the puck found its way to Girardi who had time and space to play it. The other Rangers headed up the ice to start an attack only to have the puck bounce over Girardis stick. The 30-year-old from Welland, Ont., fell to his knees, taking a swipe at the puck in a bid to clear it. It went straight to Kings forward Mike Richards, who fed Justin Williams for the winning overtime goal. "It was gone until this morning, until right now," Girardi said dryly Friday when reporters asked him about the gaffe. "As a player, theres really no worse feeling than that. Obviously in the Stanley Cup finals you dont want to make a play that costs your team. "Obviously (I was) stewing about it a little bit (on the Rangers off-day Thursday) but youve got to move on. Weve got a huge opportunity to get it 1-1 going back to our building." Game 2 is Saturday at Staples Center. Girardi, who plays with Ryan McDonagh on the Rangers top defensive pairing, got plenty of support from his teammates in the wake of the overtime mistake. "Danny was down for a few minutes," said forward Brad Richards. "Everybody kind of picked him up. "Thats a tough bounce. It just happened that that was the overtime goal that the bounce happened. We got a bounce on the second goal that went off their D-man (Slava Voynov) in the net." McDonagh sits next to Girardi in the locker room and wasted little time going over the play. "Thats how we work through things as a group," said McDonagh. "Me and him are a pretty talkative pairing. No matter what happens, bad play, good play, were talking about it, trying to improve, trying to make sure were on the same page as much as possible. "If it was flip-flopped and it was me, he would have came to me and asked me, What could we have done differently, what could we have done better? Thats the beauty of our pairing and the beauty of him, too. He doesnt soak in the wounds, so to speak, think about the what-ifs. He just tries to correct it, see what he can do better, and were there supporting him." It was clearly appreciated. "Its great to hear the guys rally around you," said Girardi. "That could happen to anyone and everyone would have reacted the same way, doesnt matter who it is. Thats the type of team we are. Everyones got each others back." Several assistant coaches also spoke to Girardi afterwards. Rangers coach Alain Vigneault, meanwhile, kept the incident in perspective "Everybody understands the dynamic of that play," he said. "You know, Dans got to turn the page and move on. "Hes been one of our real solid defencemen, not only in the playoffs and the regular season, but hes a real hard worker, and Im sure that hes focused on the next game now." LOS ANGELES -- Matt Barnes is back playing with the Los Angeles Clippers, and it looked as though hed never been away. Wearing goggles to protect his surgically repaired left eye, Barnes contributed 13 points off the bench, including three 3-pointers to help the Clippers win their fourth straight, 112-91 over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night. "Love having him back," said Blake Griffin, who had 24 points and 16 rebounds. "Hes a guy who has a positive impact even if he doesnt score a basket." Barnes played for the first time since undergoing three procedures to repair a torn retina in his eye. He got hurt on Nov. 18 when Memphis Zach Randolph inadvertently hit Barnes in the eye. "I feel good," he said, adding that he doesnt like the goggles. "I got elbowed and the goggles gave me a bruise. I dont see myself wearing them long." Clippers coach Doc Rivers said of Barnes, "He looked good. He just gives us something extra -- the toughness, the cutting, the basketball IQ. His shot looked good." Jamal Crawford scored 27 points, hitting six 3-pointers as the Clippers led all the way. Chris Paul added 10 points and 11 assists. DeAndre Jordan had 12 rebounds. "Whenever we set the tone in the first quarter it kind of carries us," Crawford said. "Chris and those guys threw some good passes. I had the easy part shooting the ball." Wilson Chandler scored all of his 19 points in the first half and Timofey Mozgov had 15 points and nine rebounds for the Nuggets, who lost their third straight. Ty Lawson added 13 points as Denver was held to 35 per cent shooting. "We just got thoroughly outplayed by a better team. They pretty much did what they wanted to do to us on the boards. Inside, outside, and on the break, our energy was bad," Nuggets coach and former Lakers star Brian Shaw said. "Were not in a good place right now. Weve got to do some soul searching and really get back to the basics if we want to right the ship." Nuggets starter Kenneth Faried rolled his left ankle at 8:45 of the first quarter and didnt return. The Clippers made 13 3-pointers, improving to 21-2 since the start of last season when they make at least 11. They hit five 3s in the third, including three by Crawford, who had 11 points in the quarter. Griffin went coast-to-coast for a dunk in the third, when Los Angeles stretched its lead to 79-60. "Thats a tough team," Chandler said. "Youve got to try to take something away on the fast break, but theyve got the layups, theyve got the lobs or theyve got the open man for the 3, so its kind of tough." Grifffin and the other starters got some rest to start the fourth before he, Crawford, Paul and Jared Dudley returned midway through. Griffin made four straight free throws and Crawford scored to restore the Clippers lead to 20 points with under five minutes to go. Griffin provided two highlights in the second. He dribbled the length of the court, drawing oohs from the crowd as he went behind his back three times before doing a 360-degree spin and hitting a layup. It didnt count, though, when Lawson was called for a foul. Griffin made 1 of 2 free throws to give the Clippers their largest lead of the half, 44-27. "I dont even know what I was doing," Griffin said, smiling. Barnes missed and Griffin flew in and slammed the ball down for the one-handed putback that kept the Clippers ahead by 11. Darren Collison got in on the act, too. Barnes tipped the ball as the Nuggets inbounded and Collison tossed up a 22-foot desperation heave that went in at the buzzer, keeping the Clippers ahead 56-43 at halftime. Collison scored 13 points. Miami coach Al Golden previously said Miller would need off-season shoulder surgery, so its unclear when he will be able to work out for teams before the draft. The day after Brandon Morrow walked eight batters in just two and 2/3rds innings and got the hook, Ricky Romero had a two-inning control meltdown of his own Sunday at Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo. Facing the Reds Triple A affiliate Louisville, Romero walked the bases loaded in the first inning and again in the second, but he escaped unscathed both times and actually lasted five innings. Romero didnt give up any more walks and didnt surrender a run during the stint. Earlier in the week, an upbeat Romero was on TSN Drive with Dave Naylor and co-host Dave Hodge and said he felt he was pitching better than he had been in a year and a half. He also said he would welcome a call-up right now if the Blue Jays needed or wanted him. As shaky as the Jays starting pitching has been this season, especially over this just completed homestand, Romero doesnt figure to get called up anytime soon. He simply has to be more consistent with his control. The largest pitcher I have ever seen in the Majors is C.C Sabathia. Though he has trimmed down now a bit, there were times over the past two or three years where he weighed between 285 and 300 pounds. Well in that same Buffalo-Louisville game on Sunday, the Bats used a closer by the name of Jose Diaz. A year ago, the 64 native of the Dominican Republic pitched at 347 pounds and of course was known by the nickname of Jumbo. This year having just turned 30, he realized it might be time to shave off a few pounds to try and prolong his career. He got down to 278, but the stat sheets now are listing him at 315. Jumbo racked up his sixth save Sunday against the Bisons. He throws with pretty good velocity, too. Cincinnati already has Aroldis Chapman as their closer, but who knows at some point, he may surface in the Majors. Historic Lineup Since the Blue Jays in the Pat Gillick era were one of the very first teams to extensively scout and sign talent out of the Dominican Republic, it only seems fitting that on Sunday afternoon at Rogers Centre, they became the first team in Major League history to field a starting lineup that included six players born in the Dominican. The starting 9 included Jose Reyes, Melky Cabrera, Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion, Juan Francisco and Moises Sierra. An equally, if not more, historic moment occurred back on Sept 1 of 1971 when the Pittsburgh Pirates fielded an entire starting lineup of African American and Latin American players including Hall of Famers Roberto Clemente and Willie Stargell. The rest of the starting 9 included Al Oliver, who later played with the Expos and the Blue Jays, Rennie Stennett, Jackie Hernandez, Dave Cash, Manny Sanguillen, Gene Clines and starting pitcher Dock Ellis. Better April The Blue Jays started last season at 10-17 in April and they are already guaranteed a better first month this time around. John Gibbons and company are 12-13 with two games at Kansas City left in this month. But something to remember, there were only two playoff teams with losing Aprils in the American League a year ago. Tampa Bay went 12-14 but rebounded to finish 91-71 to earn a play in the knockout game with Texas to decide the second Wild Card spot. Cleveland earned the first Wild Card at 92-70 after opening April at 11-13. Conversely Texas had the best record in April at 17-8, but finished the season in that knock-out game at 91-71. All of that means if the Blue Jays are going to need 91 victories to have a shot at the playoffs this year, they will have to go 79-58 the rest of the year or 21 games over .500. Thats not impossible, but the starting rotation will have to be far better the rest of the way. Right now, the Blue Jays staff era is 4.45, 25th in the Majors, just slightly ahead of Baltimore at 4.49. I dont know if this is a plus but the only team in the AL East with a sub -4.00 era is Boston at 3.90 and the BoSox are fourth in the division just behind the Blue Jays. This and That Its really interesting to look at the early season gap in some pitching categories between the National League and the American. The Senior Circuit has eight of the top 10 staff ERAs. Only Oakland and K.C. break into that group. The National League has had 10 complete games to just four for the American, including two by Texas. There have been 34 shutouts in the National League to 23 in the American. St. Louis has six and Texas leads the American with six. I guess it just helps to illustrate why Ervin Santana chose Atlanta over the Blue Jays. After going 7-9 in their 1st 16 game segment against the East, the Jays have a 20-game stretch where they dont play their own division at all. Their next game against the East is May 20 at Fenway Park in Boston. In fact, they only have six games against the East for the entire month of May, getting Tampa Bay at home the week after that Boston series. The All-Star voting has begun for the Mid-summer Classic Tuesday July 15th at Target Field, the home of the Minnesota Twins. If voting closed today, the only Blue Jays on my ballot would be lefty Mark Buehrle and Melky Cabrera. Jose Bautista could make it as well, but more on his name and All-Star reputation at this point. I also did a rough count and if Buehrle keeps it up, his natural turn to pitch would fall on All-Star Tuesday so their might even be a chance he could start. But thats still a lot of innings pitched and a long way off. Zapatillas Nike Air Max 90 Hombre . Both times hes left empty. It was War Emblem in 2002. Zapatillas Nike Free 5.0 Baratas nike roshe run comprar . Bartel, who is from Australia, punted 229 times for 9,904 yards with a 43.2 average in two seasons with the Ticats. Williams, the first overall pick by Saskatchewan in 2010, signed with Hamilton as a free agent a year ago and had one defensive tackle and one special teams tackle in just six games with the Ticats last season.Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - There are few people who would place the blame for the New Jersey Devils lackluster season entirely on Peter DeBoer. But, at this rate, there may be no other solution than making him take the fall for it anyway. Only two and a half years removed from leading the Devils on a run to the Stanley Cup Finals, DeBoer is surrounded by speculation that he is fighting for his job. I say speculation because nobody every really knows what Devils president and general manager Lou Lamoriello is thinking. Is he close to firing his head coach for New Jerseys brutal start to the season? Or is Lou saving the blame for himself and giving DeBoer a pass? There is no question the Hall of Fame GM needs to take some lumps for the way this current edition of the Devils is built. While its been a blast for NHL fans watching Jaromir Jagr stay relevant, the fact that New Jerseys most important offensive player is going to be 43 years old in a few months is kind of sad and it points to a larger problem with the Devils. After all, Jagr isnt the only greybeard on New Jerseys roster, as the team is only the NHL club with an average age over 30. In a sport dominated by young stars the Devils are counting on guys like Patrik Elias (38), Bryce Salvador (38), Marek Zidlicky (37), Dainius Zubrus (36), Michael Ryder (34), Scott Gomez (34), Martin Havlat (33) and Mike Cammalleri (32) to do the heavy lifting. But an even bigger issue for the Devils is that when theyve tried to go young, the results have been less than impressive. Outside of Adam Henrique, a third-round steal for Lamoriello in 2008, the clubs draft preparation over the last several years has simply not approached his own lofty standards. Adam Larsson, a defenseman who was selected fourth overall in 2011, is the poster boy for the clubs recent poor drafts, but he is hardly alone in generating disappointment among the Devils fan base. Eric Gelinas, Jacob Josefson, Stefan Matteau and Damon Severson are all former first or second- round draft picks who have yet to show they can pull their weight for a successful NHL club. Let us not forget the 2013 draft either. That was the year Lamoriello surrendered New Jerseys first-round pick (9th overall) to land goaltender Cory Schneider from Vancouver. Schneider has found it difficult replacing a legend like Martin Brodeur as the No. 1 option between the pipes, but he is hardly the biggest problem for a team that is ranked 26th in the league with a paltry averaage of 2.dddddddddddd21 goals per game. All the poor drafts have forced New Jersey to rely on older free agents, who, lets face it, are on the downside of their careers. And all of them put together dont seem to add up to former Devils sniper Ilya Kovalchuk, who retired from the NHL after the lockout season of 2012-13 to ply his trade in the KHL. But the Devils cant use Kovalchuks decision to leave them in the lurch as an excuse any longer. New Jerseys icy reception from the home crowd at the end of its most recent loss, Wednesdays 2-0 setback against Ottawa, shows the fans arent in the mood for excuses. Some representatives of the Devils, including Elias and DeBoer, felt the team had outplayed the Senators and was unfairly booed at the Prudential Center. They were disappointed. So were we. Trust me, Elias said. But we didnt deserve that today. The effort was there. We were the better team. We understand it, but it wasnt deserved tonight. I didnt appreciate it. It may be true that New Jersey was the better club Wednesday, but the fans are right to be disgusted because results are all that matter for the Devils right now. Since the effort against the Sens didnt result in a win or even a point, its difficult to expect the fans to see it as anything other than another failure to get the job done. Better efforts, and results, are especially needed at home where the Devils have only played 12 games so far. The building otherwise known as The Rock will need to be a source of strength if the 11-16-6 club has any chance at returning to the postseason for the first time since 2012. The positive results better start coming soon or DeBoer will eventually have to take the fall for a team that is mired in its second five-game losing streak in a matter of weeks. Whether its the GMs mistakes or DeBoers faults as a coach that is plaguing the Devils, or a combination of both, something needs to be done and fast. Around the league, it seems DeBoer is still more associated with the heights of his first season with the Devils in 2012 than the depths the club has reached this season. And for that reason, Lamoriello likely knows DeBoer would be plucked by another team rather quickly if he gets fired. Then again, if scenes like Wednesdays game in Newark become the norm, he may have no choice other than sacrificing his coach to the masses. And if it somehow manages to get worse, keeping the coach around any longer would not only be cruel to the fans, but to DeBoer as well.
