The Winnipeg Jets are in Denver for an 8pm ct start against the Colorado Avalanche. Its the fourth meeting of the season between these teams with each game being decided by a single goal. The Jets record is 1-1-1 in those games. The (30-28-7) Jets are five points behind Dallas for a Western Conference Wild Card playoff spot. For the first time under the guidance of Head Coach Paul Maurice Winnipeg is winless in their last three games. Al Montoya will start in goal. Jets Projected Lines: Ladd-Little-Frolik Kane-Jokinen-Setoguchi Byfuglien-Slater-Wheeler Tangradi-Albert-Peluso Bogosian-Enstrom Stuart-Trouba Pardy-Ellerby Colorado enters this game with a 4-1 record in their last five games. The (41-18-5) Avalanche are third in the Central Division standings with 87 points. They trail second place Chicago by three points and have one game in hand on the Blackhawks. Much of Colorados success this season is thanks to their in division play. The Avalanche are 15-6-2 against the Central Division. Semyon Varlamov will start in goal. Due to an injury sustained by Paul Statsny in Saturdays game, Head Coach Patrick Roy announced this morning he will dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen. Avalanche Projected Lines: OReilly-Duchene-Parenteau Landeskog-MacKinnon-McGinn Talbot-Mitchell-Cliche McLeod-XXXXX-Bordeleau Johnson-Hejda Sarich-Benoit Barrie-Holden/Guenin Matt Duchene is on a seven game point streak (three goals and eight assists). Ryan OReilly is on a six game point streak (three goals and seven assists). Following tonights game, the Jets return to Winnipeg and host the Vancouver Canucks Wednesday night at MTS Centre. MK Black Friday UK .com) - Rudy Gay posted a game and season-best 40 points along with eight rebounds as Sacramento picked up its first win of the year with a 103-94 triumph over Portland on Friday night.INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Pacers played just well enough to beat an inferior opponent, which has been the way most of their five-game win streak has gone. David West scored 25 points, Paul George added 22, and the Pacers beat the Utah Jazz 94-91 on Sunday night. Indianapolis native Gordon Hayward had 21 points and Derrick Favors scored 17 for the Jazz, nine of them in the first eight minutes as Utah opened a 14-4 lead. A dunk from Favors cut the Pacers lead to 89-86 with a minute left to play, and West missed a jumper to give Utah a chance to tie with 35 seconds remaining. Hayward cut the Indiana lead to one, but Lance Stephenson sank two free throws to seal the win. "This was a mental toughness win," Pacers coach Frank Vogel said. "I thought we played with extraordinary effort for four quarters." The Jazz made things interesting in the games fourth period thanks to Hayward, who had 10 of his 21 points in the final 15 minutes. His final five points came in the final minutes. Ian Mahinmi came off the bench to score nine points for the Pacers and provide key minutes, as Roy Hibbert struggled to contain Favors. Utah came out of halftime to score eight unanswered points and force Indiana to call an early timeout. The Pacers retook the lead when Mahinmi was fouled on a layup. Mahinmi made the free throw to put Indiana up 60-58. "Ive pretty solid on defence all season long," Mahinmi said. "My shot blocking has been up. My timing is good." CJ Watson, starting for the injured George Hill, scored 13 points for the Pacers. Hill sat out his second straight game with a bruised shoulder. After coming off the bench to score 17 in a win over Boston a night earlier, Evan Turner struggled in his reserve role.ddddddddddddTurner, acquired from Philadelphia on Feb. 20, scored eight points and shot 2 of 9 in 20 minutes. But the Pacers got a boost from Mahinmi and Watson to pull out another win against an opponent they might have easily beaten earlier in the season. After two close tilts against Milwaukee and a come-from-behind victory in Boston on Saturday night, Indiana survived a scare against one of the Wests worst teams. But all night long, Utah buckled under pressure from one of the NBAs best defensive teams. The Jazz finished with 18 turnovers, which led to 24 points for Indiana. George went down hard after being fouled on a drive to the basket late in the third quarter. George slammed to the floor and appeared to hit his head, but remained in the game to sink both free throws. Hayward rebounded from a slow start to put together one of his best games since January. In his fourth time playing in his native city, he shot 8 of 15 from the field after being held scoreless until the beginning of the second period. He scored seven straight points in the third quarter, keeping the Jazz in the game while the rest of the offence sputtered. "I thought I was quiet in the first half, but I was proud of the way we came back and fought against a team with a real good record, especially here at home," Hayward said. Hayward, who led Butler to an NCAA championship game appearance in 2010, averaged 12.2 points on 34.1 shooting in 12 games in February. He came into the game having scored only 21 points in four games in Bankers Life Fieldhouse. NEW YORK -- Lost one, got one, kept one. Robinson Cano is leaving the Yankees, Carlos Beltran is coming back to New York and Hiroki Kuroda is staying in town. On a hectic day doing business in the Bronx, baseballs richest team learned Friday that Cano had decided to bolt for Seattle. So the Yankees moved quickly to bring in Beltrans bat, hours after retaining a key pitcher in Kuroda. Free-agent outfielder Curtis Granderson also left to join the Mets across town. But the Yankees hadnt shown much interest in re-signing Granderson after he turned down their $14.1 million qualifying offer last month. Cano was a different story. New York offered the free-agent second baseman $175 million over seven years. Instead, he reached an agreement with the Mariners, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press on Friday. ESPN reported earlier in the day that the contract was worth $240 million for 10 years. The person told the AP that the deal was pending a physical that had not yet been scheduled. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because there was no official announcement. "He was a great Yankee. He was a great player. I think everybody tried hard to get the deal done. We just never got close enough obviously," Yankees managing general partner Hal Steinbrenner said. "We wish him the best. We hope he has a long, healthy career." Beltran and the Yankees agreed Friday night to a $45 million, three-year contract, two people familiar with the deal said. The All-Star outfielders agreement was detailed to the AP on condition of anonymity because it was subject to a physical and had not yet been announced. The 36-year-old Beltran is an eight-time All-Star who played for the Mets from 2005-11, when he was dealt to San Francisco. He signed a $26 million, two-year contract with St. Louis before the 2012 season and reached the World Series for the first time this year. Much earlier in the day, Steinbrenner confirmed Kuroda will return for a third season in the Bronx. "Kuroda is coming back," he said outside the teams spring training complex in Florida. Kurodas return fills one of three holes in the rotation behind CC Sabathia and Ivan Nova. The right-hander, who turns 39 in February, got off to a strong start last season before fading down the stretch. He finished 11-13 with a 3.31 ERA in 32 starts covering 201 1-3 innings. Several reports indicated the deal was for one year at about $16 million. Last month, Kuroda declined a $14.1 million qualifying offer from New York. Also on Friday, the Yankees finalized a $3 million, one-year contract with utilityman Kelly Johnson. The 31-year-old is an eight-year big league veteran and hit .235 with 16 homers and 52 RBIs in 366 at-bats this year for Tampa Bay. Johnson played third base last season for the first time in his big league career, making 12 starts, and could see time there next year. Alex Rodriguezs status is uncertain as he contests his 211-game drug suspension. Johnson has mostly played second base in his career. What a week its been for the Yankees as they overhaul their roster after missing the playoffs for only the second time in 19 years. New York introduced new catcher Brian McCann at a news conference Thursday and has a pending $153 million, seven-year agreement with outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury. When the deals for Ellsbury, Beltran and Kuroda are finalized, the Yankees will have committed about $172 million to 13 players for their 2014 luxury-tax payroll. That would leave them approximately $5 million to spend if they intend to stay under the $189 million threshold, which includes all players on the 40-man roster and $11 million to $12 million for benefits. It appears unlikely New York would remain under the threshold unless Rodriguez is suspended for most of the season, which would relieve the Yankees of much of his $25 million salary. "Were going to keep going," Steinbrenner said. "Were still looking at all the same guys that we were looking at a week ago or two ago. Were going to continue to improve. Were not done spending." Jabari Parker is hoping to become Dukes latest one-and-done star to become the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft. The 6-foot-8 All-American forward said Thursday hell enter the NBA draft after being the highest-scoring freshman in Duke history. He was also the first freshman to lead the Blue Devils in scoring and rebounding, and the first freshman in three decades to be selected team MVP. Now he has the chance to do what Kyrie Irving did in 2011: follow a one-year stay at Duke by being the first name called in the June draft. Coach Mike Krzyzewski said in a statement Thursday it was "an honour for us to have him in our program." In an essay posted on SI.com, Parker said the NBA offers him the best chance to develop both as a player and off the court. "I realize how much of a privilege and an honour it is to join the ranks of the NBA," Parker wrote. "I will do everything in my power to help deliver championships to the franchise that drafts me. At the same time, I recognize the obligation to represent the league in an admirable way off the court." Parker played in high school at Chicagos Simeon Career Academy and was frequently mentioned along with Kansas Andrew Wiggins as possible No. 1 picks before ever playing a college game. Parker led the Atlantic Coast Conference with an average of 8.7 rebounds while his 19.1 points were second only to North Carolina States T.J. Warren, who entered the NBA draft last week. "Jabari could not have been better," Krzyzewski said. "He is the epitome of what you would want a basketball player to be -- outstanding every day on the practice court and in the classroom and a very humble young man. "He had a fantastic freshman year and is so deserving of the opportunity to play in the NBA and follow his dream." Parker is listed as the No. 2 draft prospect on Chad Fords Top 100 on ESPN.com, the No. 2 pick in a mock draft on NBAdraft.net and No. 3 on DraftExpress.com. It had long been believed that Duke would be a one-year pit stop for Parker on his way to the pros. But even late into the season, he insisted he was undecided, saying he wanted to play at the level that would best help him grow. When he received the USBWAs Tisdale Award as the nations top freshman this week, he said he planned to meet with Krzyzewski and reach a decision Wednesday. In his SI.com essay, Parker said he had "gotten pretty attached to life at Duke and I dont want to utter the word goodbye." He also noted that the careers of professional basketball players -- his father, Sonny, played six seasons in the NBA -- last only so long. "The lucky ones play until their mid-30s," Parker said. "With that perspective, I shrink my professional career with each year that I remain in college. Its ironic, but true." Parker -- the fifth Duke player to enter the draft as a freshman -- said he planned to continue working toward a college degree. He is Mormon and said he would put a two-year mission on hold. From Day 1, he and Rodney Hood -- a redshirt sophomore transfer from Mississippi State -- were the focal points for a Duke team that spent much of the season in the top 10 and looked like a Final Four contender. But Duke (26-9) ended the season with a loss to Virginia in the ACC tournament final and a shocking loss to Mercer in its NCAA tournament opener. Hood hasnt announced whether he will enter the draft, though Krzyzewski said "I wish we had him for more than one year" after Dukes ACC tournament win against Clemson last month. Regardless, Duke is bolstered by the nations No. 1 recruiting class, led by top overall recruit Jahlil Okafor along with top-10 prospects Tyus Jones and Justise Winslow. NEW YORK -- Mike Woodson had the Knicks on top of their division and in the second round of the playoffs, destinations that had become unreachable and practically unimaginable in New York. A year later, he was out of job. Phil Jackson fired Woodson and the entire coaching staff on Monday, making his first big move since becoming team president in March and saying in a statement that "the time has come for change throughout the franchise." The dismissal comes shortly after the Knicks completed a 37-45 season that began with their belief they were a serious contender. Instead, they started poorly, making Woodsons job security practically a season-long distraction. A late surge wasnt good enough for a post-season spot or another year for Woodson. It was a stunningly swift fall for Woodson, whose .580 winning percentage with the Knicks ranks behind only Pat Riley and Jeff Van Gundy, and who finished third in the NBAs Coach of the Year voting after going 54-28 last season. He and the staff were informed of the decision Monday morning by Jackson, the man the Knicks originally wanted to replace Woodson as coach but preferred to run the teams front office. Jackson has won an NBA-record 11 championships as a coach. He has repeatedly said hes not interested in returning to the bench, so he will have to hire someone before he turns his attention to the roster. The team said the coaching search begins immediately. Jackson said he has a "tremendous amount of respect" for Woodson and his staff, which included longtime Knicks assistant Herb Williams. Jackson called this an "extremely difficult" season and said "blame should not be put on one individual." "But the time has come for change throughout the franchise as we start the journey to assess and build this team for next season and beyond," he added. Jackson has said he wont insist the Knicks run the triangle, the offensive system he used in Chicago and with the Lakers, but has made clear his belief in it. TNT analyst Steve Kerr, who played for Jackson with the Bulls but has never been a coach, has repeatedly been mentioned as a top candidate. Kerr said Monday during his SiriusXM NBA Radio show that he and Jackson have remained close and that he expected to speak with him at some point about the job. "Its going to be very interesting and obviously my name is being thrown around. I do anticipate at least being part of the conversation and well see where it all goes," Kerr said. Jackson is scheduled to speak with reporters on Wednesday. Woodson, a former Knicks first-round draft pick, was hired as an assistant coach before the 2011-12 season, then engineered an 18-6 finish after replacing Mike DAntoni on an interim basis the following March to capture a playoff spot. Given a multiyear deal two months later, Woodson then led the Knicks to their first Atlantic Division championship since 1994. New York then beat Boston in the playoffs, its first series victory since 2000, and general manager Steve Mills picked up next seasons option year on Woodsons contract before this season began. But the Knicks were saddled with some early injuries, including centre Tyson Chandlers broken leg, and lacked the veteran leadership they enjoyed last season. Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan was already considering replacing Woodson by December, when he met with Jackson at a holiday party and talked to him about coaching the team. Carmelo Anthony praised his coach Thursday and even offered to back him publicly if necessary. But it was probably a clear sign Woodson wouldnt be back a few minutes later when Amare Stoudemire said the coach hadnt taken part in the exit meetings with players that Jackson and Mills held. Woodson previously coached six seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, leading them to the playoffs in his final three seasons. He has a career record of 315-365. Woodson went 109-79 with the Knicks, who hadnt even made the playoffs since 2004 before he led them there in 2012. But he lost one of his biggest supporters within the organization when general manager Glen Grunwald, Woodsons college teammate at Indiana, was surprisingly fired last September. Players and fans sometimes grumbled during the season about Woodsons strategies as the defence regressed and the offence was inconsistent beyond Anthony, who plans to become a free agent in July. Chandler said there probably was some "disconnect" and "misunderstanding" at times. "Coach Woodson put together a game plan for us on the basketball court and there were times we didnt totally buy into it," Stoudemire said last week. Still, the Knicks nearly rallied to make the playoffs by winning 16 of their final 21 games. But Woodson, who said he and Jackson had only brief chats in Jacksons first month in charge, said before the season finale he knew the coach often takes the blame. "Everyone in this franchise owes a great deal of gratitude to what Mike and his staff have done," Jackson said. "We wish him the best." Michael Kors Hamilton Bag . SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A task force established by Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson recommended a rough plan Thursday to raise US$400 million to build a downtown arena, a key step in the citys efforts to keep the NBAs Kings. The plan announced by the Think Big Sacramento committee gives a menu of financing options to build an entertainment and sports complex near downtown, with the NBA franchise as the primary tenant. The group proposes a three-way plan combining user fees with public money and private investment to generate approximately $400 million without broad tax increases. The proposal also includes ideas about leasing city parking spaces to a private company, which could generate millions more. The NBA has given Sacramento until March to come up with an arena financing plan or it will consider allowing the Kings to relocate, perhaps to Anaheim. In a statement Thursday afternoon, the Kings organization praised the report and said the team looks forward to continuing to work with the city and other interested parties. The proposed sports complex "will bring substantial economic benefits to the entire region and we hope will enable the team to continue playing in Sacramento," the statement said. Backers say developing the arena would generate more than 4,000 construction jobs, bring an additional 3 million potential customers downtown each year and generate more than $7 billion in revenue over its lifetime, all without a general tax increase. The plan will be presented to the City Council next week. Johnsons efforts this spring to rally public support and $10 million in corporate sponsorships helped delay what looked like an all-but-certain relocation of the Kings to Anaheim. The team agreed to wait a year and give Sacramento another chance to craft an arena plan. Sacramento is a relatively small NBA market and the aging Power Balance Pavilion where the Kings play lacks many of the profit-boosting features seen in newer arenas, such as a variety of premium seating options that command higher ticket prices. In addition, the state capital lacks large corporate operations, which have helped other cities finance arenas, like the Staples Center in Los Angeles or the United Center in Chicago. The economic downturn has left few politically viable sources of public money in California. And Sacramento voters in 2006 overwhelmingly rejected a sales tax increase to finance an arena. This spring, NBA Commissioner David Stern was so dubious about another Sacramento arena push that he characterized it an "eyee-roller," and when Anaheim city officials offered $75 million in bonds to lure the team it seemed the Kings were headed south to Orange County.dddddddddddd. Johnson, himself a former NBA all-star, was able to win one more chance for Sacramento and the city assembled the study group to pull together a financing plan. The Think Big proposal includes no broad-based taxes, said Chris Lehane, a political consultant who served as director of the study group. "The public has made that clear, and we respected that," Lehane said. The report is the clearest sign yet that the city can develop an arena while still protecting taxpayers, Johnson said. "The majority of funding will come on the private sector side and not on the public," the mayor said in presenting the plan before the Sacramento Press Club. The next steps will be to work with the City Council, the Kings, developers and other business interests to firm up a financing plan by January, Johnson said. "Im not saying its going to be easy. These discussions are difficult, but I do think everybodys head is in the right place," he said. Johnson was joined by state Sen. Ted Gaines, a Roseville Republican, and Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg, a Sacramento Democrat, who served as co-chairs of the study group. Steinberg called the proposed arena the linchpin of redevelopment efforts that have continued for decades at the Sacramento rail yard, which once marked the western end of the first transcontinental railroad. The proposal lays out three "buckets" of potential funds: -- $91 million to $156 million in private financing, including rent payments and investments by the Kings, the arena operator and developer, vendors and other sources. -- $94 million to $123 million in public support through sale of city-owned land, extending a hotel room tax and other contributions. -- $90 million to $121 million from user fees and other financing from those who would benefit from the new arena, including ticket surcharges, rent for concerts and other events, naming rights, and self-assessments from businesses that would benefit from the arena. In addition, Lehane said, the study group looked at downtown parking, which in Sacramento includes government-owned structures that empty out at the end of the work day. The group did not recommend outright sale of public parking, he said, but other cities have cut deals for leases to private parking companies that generate millions in upfront revenue and annual payments. NYON, Switzerland -- UEFA has punished CSKA Moscow, Cypriot club Apollon Limassol and Serbia Under-21s for racist behaviour by their fans with full or partial stadium closures. CSKA received the heavier punishment of playing its next European home game behind closed doors, after its supporters displayed racist and far-right symbols in the Czech Republic during a 2-1 loss to Viktoria Plzen on Dec. 10 in the Champions League. The club was also fined 50,000 euros ($68,000) after being warned previously for fan abuse during an October home game against Manchester City. Apollon Limassol received a partial home stadium closure at its next UEFA game after its fans were caught making monkey chants at Legia Warsaw player Dossa Junior during a 2-0 home loss in the Europa League on Dec. 12. The Football Association of Serbia was ordered to partially close its stadium at the next Serbia Under-21 home game after monkey sounds were heard during a 2-2 draw with Belgium in 2015 European U21 Championship qualifying on Nov. 15. Because Serbia had already had to play two home U21 games behind closed doors for racial abuse during a home game against England U21s in October 2012, UEFA ordered the Serbia FA at the next U21 home game to display a large banner reading "No to Racism" and make the captain stand in the middle of the ground and announce over the PA the opposition to racism by the Serbia FA, the U21 team and their fans. Rankings were weighted evenly between separate lists made by TSN Radio host and soccer analyst Gareth Wheeler as well as TSN.cas soccer editors. 1. Arsenal (Last Week- 1) The Gunners moved five points clear at the top of the table with a 2-0 victory over Liverpool. Santi Cazola scored in the first half and Aaron Ramsey fired home from 25 yards out in the second to secure the win. Arsenal have collected 25 points from their first 10 games. 2. Tottenham (LW- 4) Keeper Hugo Lloris was injured but stayed in the game during Spurs 0-0 draw with Everton. Lloris banged his head off Romelu Lukakus knee and though it looked as though he was going to be removed from the game, waived off backup keeper Brad Friedel and stayed in the game. With the point, Tottenham now sits tied for second in points but fourth when goal differential is taken into account. 3. Chelsea (LW- 2) Chelsea fell five points off the top of the table as they were beaten 2-0 by Newcastle. Though they controlled the majority of the play, they were not able to find a way past Newcastle keeper Tim Krul. In fact, if it wasnt for keeper Petr Cech they would have slumped to an even bigger defeat. 4. Manchester City (LW- 5) While a goaltending controversy ruled the pre-game, Citys offence told the story in a landslide 7-0 victory over Norwich City. Six different goal scorers and an own goal powered the attack and goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon picked up the clean sheet being forced to make only one save. 5. Liverpool (LW- 3) Neither of Liverpools in form strike partnership of Luis Suarez or Daniel Sturridge could find the mark as they fell 2-0 to top of the table Arsenal. Suarez was the livelier of the duo but had numerous attempts on goal turned away as his side suffered its second defeat of the season. 6. Everton (LW- 7) Both team had chances but in the end Everton and Tottenham played to a 0-0 draw. In a back in forth contest, neither team was able to grab control and find the marker that would give them the game. Keeper Tim Howard was strong in goal earning himself another clean sheet. 7. Southampton (LW- 6) After conceding a goal in the opening minute to Stokes keeper, Jay Rodriguez struck back before the half in a 1-1 draw. Southampton pressed the action late and almost had the winning marker but in the end had to settle for the single point. 8. Manchester United (LW- Antonio Valencia, Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney all scored in the first 22 minutes of the game as United cruised to a 3-1 victory over Fulham. Though Uniteds second half performance wasnt as dominant as the first they were never in danger of leaving with anything but all three points in this contest. 9. Hull City (LW- 10) A first half own goal helped Hull take a 1-0 victory over Sunderland. Hull played the entire second half against nine men after two red cards late in the opening half sealed Sunderlands fate in the contest. Though they were not able to score a second goal, Hull did control the action for the majority of the game. 10. Newcastle United (LW- 13) Two goals in 21 minutes were enough to give Newcastle a 2-0 victory over title contenders Chelsea. Yoan Gouffrann scored in the 68th minute and Loic Remy put the game out of reach with a second goal in the 89th.dddddddddddd. Newcastle had to withstand lots of pressure from their opponents and in the end were able to collect their fourth win of the season. 11. West Bromwich Albion (LW- 12) A goal in each half was enough to lead West Brom to a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace. Saido Berahino and Gareth McAuley each scored and Stephane Sessegnon was influential for the winning side. 12. Cardiff City (LW- 16) In the first top flight South Wales derby, Cardiff earned a 1-0 victory over Swansea on the strength of a 62nd minute goal by Steven Caulker. The former Swansea man fired home a header to give the home side a victory and bragging rights over their rival. 13. Swansea City (LW- 9) In their first top flight derby match against their South Wales rival, Swansea fell 1-0 at the hands of Cardiff City. Michu continues to struggle for Swansea and was subbed off in the 65th minute and keeper Michael Vorn was sent off in stoppage time. 14. Aston Villa (LW- 11) Christian Benteke had the best chance of the contest but he wasnt able to find the mark as Aston Villa drew West Ham 0-0. Andreas Weimann also had a chance go by the boards as Villa left Upton Park with a point for their efforts. 15. West Ham United (LW- 15) After three straight home losses, the Hammers finally earned a point at home in a scoreless draw against Aston Villa. West Ham enjoyed more of the possession during the game but were not able to break the deadlock. West Ham have gone 375 minutes without scoring a goal at home. 16. Stoke City (LW- 17) Keeper Asmir Begovic scored for Stoke in the opening minute of the game but it wasnt enough as they split the points with Southampton in a 1-1 final. Begovics strike ties him with Dwight Yorke and Chris Sutton for the fourth fastest goal in Premier League history. 17. Fulham (LW- 14) Fulham manager Martin Jol is back in the hot seat after his side fell 3-1 to Manchester United. Alexander Kacaniklic pulled a goal back for the Cottagers in the 65th minute but it wasnt enough to get them back into the game. Sascha Riether was charged with violent conduct by the FA following the contest for a stamp on United midfielder Adnan Januzaj and given a three-match ban. 18. Norwich City (LW- 18) For 16 minutes Norwich were even with Manchester City, however they were torn apart over the remainder of the game as they fell 7-0. Keeper John Ruddy had a nightmare performance as he gave up goals to six different goal scorers and a seventh to one of his own men. Norwich never threatened the City goal. 19. Sunderland (LW- 19) A Carlos Jimenez Cuellar own goal in the first half and red cards to both Lee Cattermole and Andrea Dossena doomed Sunderland to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Hull City. Adam Johnson came on as a substitute and had the best chance to rescue a point for Sunderland but saw it turned away by Hull keeper Steve Harper. 20. Crystal Palace (LW- 20) Bottom of the table Crystal Palace fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of West Bromwich Albion. This defeat was the seventh in a row for Palace who have only one once during the season. Adlene Guedioura had the best chance for the losing side. The 2014 NBA Draft will be a historic one for Canadian basketball, with as many as seven players from Canada - three of them as high as the first round - possibly selected. In the days leading up to the draft, TSN.ca and TSN Radio basketball analyst Duane Watson looks at some of the names that will be headlining the event. Tonight, Kansas star Andrew Wiggins of Vaughan, Ontario. Watch the 2014 NBA Draft on TSN, Thursday at 7pm et/4pm pt. Name: Andrew Wiggins From: Vaughan, Ontario Played: University of Kansas Height: 68 Weight: 200 Position: Small Forward 2013-2014 Stats: 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists Breakout Game: 41 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 blocks in loss to West Virginia on March 8. Accolades: Big 12 Player of the Year, Second-Team All-American and First-Team All-Big 12. Draft Projection: First-overall selection Comparable NBA player: Paul George Depending on how intensely you have been following Andrew Wigginss career, the 2014 NBA Draft is the culmination of years of anticipation. A projected #1 pick before declaring for the University of Kansas, the Toronto-area native has lived with an unwavering level of pomp and circumstance from a young age. Is the hype justified? There is no way, even if he was the second coming of Michael Jordan, that he could live to those expectations in this information age. The overwhelming attention pundits have heaped upon him has also led to unwavering analysis of his game over the last year. “Not aggressive enough, limited offensive moves, turns over the ball too much,” etc. While certainly founded for a 19 year old, his case wasnt helped playing in a structured Kansas system with other weapons alongside another potential #1 pick in Joel Embiid. However, Wiggins has exhibited significant talent, flashes of greatness and tremendous potential with a style of play that will excel at the pro level. The age-old mantra in the NBA is, “You cant teach height,” but the game has shifted more to small ball where big men are not as key. The fact you cant teach athleticism or defence should be looked at, both of which Wiggins has in spades. Elements of his offensive game are raw, but will develop as his mechanics are fine. His build is light, but he will add mass and muscle and while hes explosive off his feet with excellent body control. Wigginss physical gifts are beyond reproach - his mental game is the burning question. His casual attitude or passivity on court is what raises doubts among talent evaluators. There are times where he isnt a part of the play and off in a corner as opposed to imposing his will on the game in other ways. Is it a case of boredom or coasting? Either way, that concern is what may separate him from being a top pick or a number two. Does he have the potential to be an elite player? That is the multi-million-dollar question that the Cleveland Cavaliers will be asking themselves on draft day. If youve followed Wiggins over the years, you likely already have your answer. Maillot Angel Di Maria .com) - James Johnson and Jonas Valanciunas each scored eight of their 15 points during the pivotal third quarter, and Toronto snapped its four-game skid by pulling away for a 109-96 victory over the Boston Celtics at Air Canada Centre. Maillot Angel Di Maria Paris Saint-Germain . You can watch the game live on TSN and TSN GO or listen to the action on TSN Radio 1050 at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. The Spurs grabbed a 1-0 series lead Thursday night in the sweltering heat of a late spring San Antonio night. Maillot Jean-Kevin Augustin . -- A municipal court hearing for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe on speeding and marijuana possession citations has been rescheduled. MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Memphis Grizzlies are headed on a three-game road trip with a better grip on the Western Conferences final playoff spot. Marc Gasol scored 19 points, Zach Randolph added 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Grizzlies defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 109-99 on Tuesday night. The victory kept Memphis in the conferences eighth spot with a one-game edge over the idle Phoenix Suns. But players are not satisfied with the current position. "Even though we are in, we want to be higher," guard Courtney Lee said. "Were still chasing, and I think thats the right mindset to have going forward because if you continue to chase, youll never get complacent and fall off." Mike Conley added 17 points and Lee finished with 16. Mike Miller had 14 for Memphis, which won its third straight. Damian Lillard led the Trail Blazers with 32 points on 8-of-21 shooting from the field, but connecting on 12 of 13 free throws, including six in the fourth quarter when he was fouled on a pair of 3-point attempts. LaMarcus Aldridge had 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Nicolas Batum contributed 15 points for Portland, which lost its third straight, matching its longest skid of the season. Memphis built its lead to double-digits early in the fourth quarter and Portland got it under 10 -- to nine -- on only two occasions the rest of the way. The common refrain from the Trail Blazers was it was "just one of those nights." "They would just get a tip ball or a loose ball and they would hit a 3 with it," Lillard said. "It was just one too many of those situations." While Memphis heads on a road trip to New Orleans, Toronto and Philadelphia holding the final playoff spot, Portland sits in the conferences fifth slot. Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts was pleased with the way his team competed and shooting 22 of 29 from the foul line. "I thought we had a lot of shots we normally make," Stotts said. ";We took care of the ball (eight turnovers).dddddddddddd We got to the free-throw line. We were aggressive. "I thought it was just one of those nights." Portland struggled from the field, connecting on 41 per cent for the game. In addition to Lillards percentage, Aldridge was 8 of 23 and Batum was 5 of 13. Wesley Matthews managed only one field goal on seven attempts. "I think he had good looks," Stotts said of Aldridges shooting. "But you cant make them every night." Aldridge considered it just part of a shooting slump that will end at some point. "I am going to find my rhythm, and I am going to make those shot Ive been missing soon. It will get a lot better," he said. The Grizzlies, who shot at least 50 per cent in each quarter, finished the night at a season-best 56 per cent including 6 of 12 from outside the arc. Memphis held a 54-47 lead at the break, but Portland was close despite shooting 41 per cent. The Trail Blazers gathered nine offensive rebounds for 10 second-chance points. Memphis stretched the lead back to 15 to open the second half, and kept the advantage through the middle stages of the quarter. Lee was the catalyst for Memphis, scoring 13 in the quarter, a difference, he said, of not playing as passive as he had in the first half. "Coaches and my teammates were telling me to go out and be more aggressive," Lee said of the second half. "You dont have to tell me that twice." The Trail Blazers closed the stanza on a 10-4 run to cut the lead to 78-69 entering the fourth. After Nick Calathes connected on a 3-pointer to open the fourth period, Memphis had its double-digit lead back. NOTES: Memphis has won five straight in the series. ... Portland G Will Barton, who played at the University of Memphis, got in for the final minute of the game. ... Five of the previous seven games in the series were decided by six points or less. ... Memphis has a seven-game home winning streak. Cheap China Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NHL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys From China China NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' ' |

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Duke Johnson ran for two fourth-quarter touchdowns, the second a 1-yard plunge with 53 seconds left, as No. 7 Miami rallied twice to beat Wake Forest 24-21 on Saturday and remain unbeaten. Johnson finished with 168 yards on 30 carries for the Hurricanes (7-0, 3-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), Tanner Prices 44-yard touchdown pass to Dominique Gibson with 4:02 remaining put Wake Forest on top, but the Hurricanes went 73 yards on their next 10 plays, with Johnson scoring to keep Miami unbeaten heading into next weeks showdown at No. 3 Florida State. Wake Forest (4-4, 2-3 fell to 1-53 all-time against Top 10 teams -- the lone win coming exactly 67 years ago Saturday. The Demon Deacons trailed for less than 3 minutes against the Hurricanes, and still dropped their fifth straight in the series. Antonio Crawfords interception sealed the win with 37 seconds left for Miami, which was playing its first game since the NCAA investigation into the Nevin Shapiro scandal ended earlier in the week -- culminating a 2 1/2-year saga for the Hurricanes. After Johnsons first score of the game put Miami up 17-14 late in the fourth quarter, Wake Forest found an answer. Price connected with Jared Crump for an 11-yard gain on 4th-and-5 from the Wake Forest 45 with 4:30 remaining. On the next snap, he found Gibson on the right sideline, linebacker Tyrone Cornelius wound up missing on the tackle, and Gibson took off on a 44-yard play that put the Demon Deacons up 21-17 with 4:02 left. But for the second straight game, Miami found a way to get a win in the final moments, and matched their best start since 2003. Price threw for 302 yards and Michael Campanaro had 10 catches for 88 yards for the Demon Deacons. Stephen Morris threw for 191 yards for Miami, including a touchdown pass to Herb Waters. Wake Forest set the tone from the outset, going 16 plays and getting a touchdown on the games first drive. None of the plays gained more than 14 yards, and the 79-yard march -- capped by Josh Harris 12-yard run -- chewed nearly 9 minutes off the clock. In terms of plays (by two) and time (by more than 2 minutes), it was Wake Forests longest scoring drive of the season. Miami was simply on its heels. The Hurricanes went three-and-out on their ensuing drive, and didnt get the ball again until the second quarter. At one point early in the second quarter, Wake Forest was outgaining Miami 124 yards to 8 and enjoying nearly a 10-to-1 edge in time of possession. And after Miami got on the board with a field goal, the Demon Deacons rode the strength of a big play to take a two-score edge. Price found Tyree Harris with a 56-yard third-down pass midway through the second quarter, getting Wake Forest into the Miami red zone. Four plays later -- on 4th-and-1 -- Price connected with Campanaro from 9 yards out to put the Demon Deacons up 14-3, the biggest deficit the Hurricanes had faced since the Florida State game on Oct. 20, 2012. Late in the half, Miami seemed to finally get something going. Facing third-and-short with about 1:30 left, Morris faked a handoff and fired a fastball down the right hash marks that seemed to be sailing high -- before tight end Clive Walford snared it with his right hand and somehow held on through the tackle. One play later, Morris connected with Waters for a 35-yard scoring strike, getting the Hurricanes within 14-10 at halftime. Midway through the third, Miami was inside the Wake Forest 10, but Dallas Crawford was stopped by safety Anthony Wooding, who shook off a block and wrapped him up just shy of what would have been a first down. And when Miami elected not to go for it on another fourth-down opportunity early in the fourth, there was more than a little bit of booing at Sun Life Stadium. Ultimately, the field-position game proved effective. Miami downed a punt at the Wake Forest 3, forced a three-and-out, and Johnson put the Hurricanes ahead for the first time 4 minutes later. http://www.gellytefemmepascher.fr/nike-lunar-force-1-low-homme-leather-chaussures-university-chilling-rouge-noir.html . The Kansas City Royals try to punch their ticket to the World Series for the first time since 1985 on Wednesday, as they attempt to complete a four-game sweep of the Baltimore Orioles in the American League Championship Series. Kansas City has won all seven of its playoff games this October and is now one victory away from appearing in the Fall Classic for the first time since beating the St. Louis Cardinals 29 years ago. Should it close out the series on Wednesday, KC will become the first team to open a single postseason with eight straight wins. Dating back to that wonderful 1985 season, the Royals have now won 10 straight playoff games. Those 10 straight wins are tied for third all-time with the San Francisco Giants (2012, 14), Oakland Athletics (1989-90) and the New York Yankees (1937-39, 41). The Yankees own the top postseason win streak with 12, having accomplished it twice (1927-28, 32 and 1998-99). Kansas City has gotten as far as it has thanks to some timely hitting and outstanding relief pitching. It was more of the same on Tuesday, as Billy Butlers sixth inning sacrifice fly scored Jarrod Dyson and the Royals held on for a 2-1 win. Four Kansas City relievers combined for four perfect innings in the win, as Jason Frasor (2-0) worked a perfect top of the sixth in relief of Jeremy Guthrie before the three-headed monster of Kelvin Herrera, Wade Davis and Greg Holland protected the one-run lead and gave the Royals a 3-0 advantage in this best-of-seven set. To be in this position right here, its tremendous, because theres times you feel like you dont know if (success) going to happen, Butler said. (General manager) Dayton (Moore) has done a great job of drafting tremendous players, and the citys been reaping the benefits of that and so are we. Lorenzo Cain followed up a four-hit performance in Saturdays Game 2 by going 2-for-4 with a run scored, while Eric Hosmer also had two hits for the Royals. Cain is 8-for-12 (.667) with five runs scored, two doubles, an RBI and two walks in the ALCS. Cain sits one hit shy of Willie Wilsons 1985 franchise record for hits in a single ALCS. I told the guys to get ready to go, make sure your head is on right, get locked in and try to win another ballgame, Cain said. The Orioles managed just three hits as a team, with J.J. Hardy knocking in their lone run with a second-inning double. (The Royals) have been getting that big hit, that big timely hit that we havent been able to get, said Orioles first baseman Steve Pearce. Of course, there has only been one team to rally from three games down to win a best-of-seven series and that was the 2004 Boston Red Sox, who stunned the Yankees. You never know what can happen when youre playing with house money, Baltimores Adam Jones said. Were both franchises who werent supposed to be here, but were here and were grinding it out. Hoping to close it out for the Royals this afternoon will be lefty Jason Vargas, who hasnt pitched since starting Game 1 of the ALDS against the Los Angeles Angels back on Oct. 2. Vargas overcame a rough September and pitched well in that one, allowing just two runs in six innings. Ive never had this much rest, so I couldnt give you a good guideline on what Ill be looking for, Vargas said. But Ill be ready to go and be ready to try to execute my game plan and execute pitches. Baltimore, meanwhile, will have an equally rested hurler in right-hander Miguel Gonzalez, who will get the call for the first time since Sept. 28. Gonzalez was 10-9 this year with a 3.23 ERA this season for the Orioles. Im excited. Im excited to go out there and give my team a chance to win a ballgame, Gonzalez said. The Royals won four of seven from the Orioles during the regular season, outscoring Baltimore 26-18. If necessary, Game 5 will be played on Thursday in Kansas City. Cheap Anaheim Ducks Jerseys . KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Pro Bowl running back Jamaal Charles has agreed to a contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs announced the deal Wednesday night. The two-year extension runs through the 2017 season, a person familiar with the contract said on condition of anonymity because the team didnt disclose terms of the contract. The six-year NFL veteran ran for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns last year to help the Chiefs reach the playoffs. He also had 70 catches for 693 yards and seven more TDs as Kansas City went 11-5 before losing to Indianapolis in an AFC wild-card game. "Jamaal is an elite player in the National Football League," Chiefs General Manager John Dorsey said in a statement released by the team. "It was important for us to keep him here in Kansas City long-term." Charles was expected to take part in the first practice scheduled for Thursday. "I had no intention on holding out," Charles tweeted. "I just ran out of gas on the way to camp and my cellphone battery died. It was a long walk I tell ya." Charles comes off a season with career highs in yards from scrimmage (1,980), rushing touchdowns, total touchdowns, receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Charles earned a base salary of $1.75 million in 2013, according to NFLPA records. He was set to earn a base salary of $2.65 million, which ranked 11th among NFL running backs, before the contract extension. Various media reports, including from NFL.com and ESPN, put Charles two-year extension at $18 million. With Charles secured through 2017, the Chiefs can shift focus to quarterback Alex Smith and outside linebacker Justin Houston, both of whom enter the final years of respective contracts. Smith, 30, comes off a season where he completed 308-of-508 passes for 3,313 yards and 23 touchdowns against 13 interceptions. He established career highs in rushing attempts (70) and yards (431), and became the second quarterback in team history to start the season with nine consecutive wins. Smith reported Sunday with rookies and quarterbacks and put in two morning practices before being excused from Wednesdays practice. The Chiefs second-year quarterback attended voluntary organized activities and mandatory minicamp. The same cant be said of Houston, who missed the Chiefs off-season workout program. Houston is expected to report for training camp, however. "From what I hear, hes going to be here," outside linebacker Tamba Hali said. "Were going to get it rocking again -- Sack City. Whatever happened in the off-season, we put all of that behind us. Hes here to play football just like every other man. Thats our concern -- get to that quarterback." Houston, 25, comes off his second straight Pro Bowl selection and finished the season with 11 sacks in 11 games. He and Hali combined for 22 sacks in 2013. Houston is entering the final year of his rookie contract, which pays him a base salary of $1.4 million. His 26.5 sacks since 2011 matches Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Clay Matthews sack production during that span. Adidas Originals Superstar 2 Donna . On one of the memorable European nights at Old Trafford, Van Persie scored three times in a 27-minute span either side of halftime to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg. A slew of brilliant saves by David de Gea were also key to a famous win for the English champions -- and a vital one for their manager, David Moyes. Nike Air Max 90 Uomo .4 seconds left, but in the end their comeback could not be completed as the Langara Falcons held on to win.ARLINGTON, Texas -- Derek Holland is intent on making up for the time he missed on the mound for the Texas Rangers, who keep winning series at home. The left-hander certainly seems to be getting back into form after missing a month because of shoulder fatigue brought on when he lost about 15 pounds when he had a stomach virus. Holland retired 20 of 22 batters over one stretch Wednesday night and struck out seven in 7 2-3 innings, and the Rangers scored the go-ahead run after a couple of wild throws by Josh Beckett in a 5-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox. "Im trying to do everything I can to step up and get those innings back, that I had lost in the month off," Holland said. "I put the pressure on myself. Obviously everybody else wants me to step things up, but I feel like Im kind of doing it on my own." The Rangers took two of three against Boston to win their seventh consecutive series at home. It came during a three-day span when they found out right-hander Colby Lewis was done for the season with a torn flexor tendon and Roy Oswalt skipped his scheduled start because of back stiffness. In his fourth start since coming off the DL, Holland (7-5) allowed three runs and five hits with one walk. "We needed exactly what he gave us," manager Ron Washington said. "He competed. He gave up two home runs, but he didnt let it affect him and kept getting after it." Elvis Andrus was hit on the left forearm by a pitch to reach with one out in the seventh. He got to third on a single by Adrian Beltre and scored to break a 3-all tie when Beckett (5-9) threw a wild pitch that bounced several feet wide of the plate. "Josh gave us a zero in the first inning, as promised, and pitched a good game," Boston manager Bobby Valentine said. "Nobody on in the seventh, then a wild pitch to score a go-ahead run. ... Its a damn shame." Beltre was back in the lineup a day after being hit by a pitch thrown by Vicente Padilla that knocked off his helmet and sent him to the ground. Beltre, who insisted again before Wednesdays game that he didnt think that 0-2 pitch was purposely thrown at him, had a bruise but no concussion. In what may have been a bit of retaliation with two outs in the first, Red Sox cleanup hitter Adrian Gonzalez was hit in the buttoccks by a pitch.dddddddddddd Home plate umpire Tim Tschida, the crew chief, pointed Gonzalez to first base and didnt issue any warnings. There were no further issues, and it was clear by Becketts reaction when he hit Andrus in the seventh that it was just a pitch that got away. While retiring 20 of 22 batters, Holland gave up solo homers to Will Middlebrooks and Dustin Pedroia. He struck out the side in the seventh. The impressive stretch ended when Pedro Ciriaco had a two-out single in the eighth with Pedroia on deck. Mike Adams retired Pedroia on a running catch by left fielder David Murphy. Joe Nathan worked a perfect ninth for his 20th save in 21 chances a day after allowing consecutive two-out walks and then giving up a run in a 2-1 loss to the Red Sox. Beckett, who allowed nine hits and walked two in his seven innings, never appeared in the clubhouse when it was open to reporters after the game. Jacoby Ellsbury drew a walk to start the game and eventually scored when Pedroia grounded into a double play. Holland began his impressive streak after Middlebrooks led off the second with a single. Middlebrooks hit his 12th homer in the fourth, and Pedroia went deep in the sixth. The Rangers scored three times in the fourth, when they got started with doubles by Michael Young and Murphy. It was Youngs first extra-base hit in 11 games since the All-Star break, and Murphys first RBI since June 28. Murphy scored on Craig Gentrys perfectly executed suicide squeeze bunt to tie the game at 2. Ian Kinsler followed with an RBI bloop single that dropped after glancing off the heel of sliding right fielder Cody Ross glove. "We did some good execution," Washington said. "So it worked out for us." Notes: Cruz was mired in a 5-for-33 slump with 11 strikeouts over 10 games before leading off the eight with a homer off Red Sox reliever Matt Albers. ... Cruz also had an impressive defensive play in the fourth when he reached back while sliding to catch Ross flyball near the right-field line. ...Holland has allowed 16 homers this season. ... Both teams are off Thursday. The Red Sox then open a weekend series at the New York Yankees. The Rangers, who have won seven consecutive home series, stay home for a three-game set vs. the Chicago White Sox. CHICAGO - Never mind that sluggish opener.LeBron James scored 36 points and the Cleveland Cavaliers rebounded from a home loss to New York to beat Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls 114-108 in overtime Friday night. It was an opportunity to go out and redeem ourselves, James said.James was 14 of 30 from the field and had eight rebounds, four steals and only three turnovers after going 5 of 15 and turning it over eight times Thursday night against New York in his return to Cleveland after four seasons in Miami. The first meeting between teams expected to fight for the Eastern Conference title was tight, with several late swings.Tonight, we played good basketball, Cleveland coach David Blatt said after his first NBA victory. Tonight was just about playing well and consistently throughout. We did that. We beat a very good team tonight. We did not have an easy way coming off the game last night.Derrick Rose scored 20 points for Chicago, but his first meaningful home game in about a year was spoiled by a sprained left ankle. Sidelined for most of the past two seasons by knee injuries, he came up hobbling in the first half and went to the locker room in the fourth quarter.Cleveland rallied from five down in the closing minute of regulation after blowing a nine-point lead to start the fourth quarter.James took over in OT, flipping in a wild reverse layup and scoring Clevelands first eight points in the extra period.Tristan Thompson iced it with a dunk after rebounding James jumper to make it a four-point game with 24 seconds left. Thompson tied a franchise record with 12 offensive rebounds. Here are some things we learned from James first victory in his return to the Cavaliers:BOARD BATTLE: Yes, James had a strong night. But what really impressed him was the Cavaliers effort on the boards. They outrebounded Chicago 52-42 after getting beaten on the glass by New York. Were one of the best rebounding teams in the league as well, James said. (Thursday) night we got outrebounded, thats something we cannot do ever. We have to trust in Andy (Anderson Varejao) and Kevin (Love). We should be up there, tied for rebounding or winning. We cant shy away from contact.Thompson, who was hoping to land a contract extension before the deadline, finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Love, Clevelands other big off-season addition, has 16 points and 16 rebounds.Tristan was unbelievable, James said. He had one defensive rebound, 12 offensive rebounds — thats a mans man game right there, and Kevin had a double-double.MORE TO COME?: With James and Love joining Irving in Cleveland and Rose leading a deep roster in Chicago, the Cavaliers and Bulls just might be duking it out the next few years.Theyre a very good team, Hinrich said. Obviously, theyre as talented as anybody one-two-three. Their bigs are very good at getting little things and complementing their other guys. I know theyre going to be a tough out, no question.BALANCED BULLS: Chicagos Kirk Hinrich came on strong at the end to finish with 20 points. Pau Gasol scored 15 points, and Mike Dunleavy Jr. added 14.EXTENSION, NO EXTENSION: Cleveland signed Varejao to a contract extension Friday. He was in position to become a free agent this summer. The NFC East champions agreed to a five-year contract with wide receiver Riley Cooper and a seven-year deal with centre Jason Kelce on Thursday. They gave All-Pro left tackle Jason Peters a new five-year deal a day earlier. "Its a great reflection of ownership, a credit to Jeffrey Lurie for the flexibility to do what we need to be successful," general manager Howie Roseman said. Cooper wouldve become a free agent next month after a breakout season in which he set career highs in receptions (47), yards receiving (835) and touchdowns (eight). His deal is worth $25 million over five years with about $10 million guaranteed, according to a person familiar with the contract who spoke on condition of anonymity because terms werent announced. "Riley is one of the toughest and hardest-working guys in our locker room," coach Chip Kelly said. "We talk a lot about how players have to make the most of their opportunities, and he did just that last year. He used his size, strength and speed to make a lot of big plays for our team and Im excited to watch him build upon his success." Cooper has come a long way since leaving the Eagles for three days during training camp after using a racial slur. "I didnt test free agency because I wanted to be here," he said. "I wanted to be in Philly from the get-go." Kelce was signed through 2016, and the new deeal adds four years to his contract.dddddddddddd Overall, its worth $37.5 million with $13 million guaranteed, according to the person familiar with the deals. "The numbers just sounded right," Kelce said. Kelce was part of an offensive line that helped the Eagles lead the NFL in rushing while setting a franchise record for points (442). "Jason is the epitome of the type of player we want around here, both on and off the field," Kelly said. "Hes tough, extremely intelligent and is a leader by his actions and by his words. His athleticism is something that really sticks out when you watch him play. There arent many centres that can get down the field like he does." Roseman said the signings wont affect the teams draft plans. The Eagles shifted their focus from drafting for needs to drafting the best players available on the board a couple years ago. The results have been successful picks. "A lot has changed since 2011, starting with team philosophy," Roseman said. "Im proud of the process weve developed to set ourselves up to contend." The Eagles were 10-6 and won the NFC East title in Kellys first season as coach after going 4-12 in 2012. Cooper blossomed in his first season as a starter after Jeremy Maclin went down for the season with a knee injury in camp. Maclin, a former first-round pick, is scheduled to be a free agent, but the Eagles are hoping to bring him back. "He fits into our chemistry and what were trying to do," Roseman said.
